Only a stones throw away from the refurbishment completed late last year at the National Archives of Australia in Parkes. Currently conducting major commercial works on two of Canberra’s oldest and most iconic Heritage buildings. The National Archives of Australia and Hotel Kurrajong Canberra. This vintage photo shows both buildings in the 1920’s, a century ago when they where first built. Thanks to EG Funds, Assurance Project Management and CBRE for entrusting Savil Projects with the construction of these major insurance works on what is one of Canberra’s best heritage sites, nestled neatly amongst its neighbours of the new and the old Parliament House.
In Demand Within the Parliamentary Triangle
Savil Projects in demand within the Parliamentary Triangle in Canberra, another very busy and successful week on the 3000 square metre major commercial insurance works at the National Archives of Australia, in conjunction with Assurance Project Management for EG Funds; on time, on budget, quality construction. This is yet another major commercial insurance project constructed with the confidence, trust, expertise and high levels of stakeholder engagement that are at the heart of Savil Projects.
Succesful Completion of Parliamentary Guild Building
In the Canberra Parliamentary Triangle, Savil Projects successfully completed the 2500 square metre major commercial insurance works, in conjunction with Assurance Project Management for KDN Group, on the three-storey Pharmacy Guild Building in 2021 – on time, on budget, quality construction. This is another major commercial insurance project constructed with the confidence, trust, expertise and high levels of stakeholder engagement at the heart of Savil Projects.
Succesful Completion of Barrandi Centre
Canberra CBD sees Savil Projects successfully complete the 2000 square metres major loss insurance works, in conjunction with Assurance Project Management for KDN Group, on the 9-storey Barrandi Centre tower in 2021 – on time, on budget, quality construction. It was a brilliant day for a photo shoot with Titan Cranes & Rigging supplying 300 tonnes of lifting muscle that just can’t be missed.

First Crane Lift Day at the National Archives
This is Savil Projects at the National Archives of Australia. Today was the first crane lift day, and a good start in this first week of the 3000 square metre restoration commercial construction project. It was a perfect Canberra winter day at an iconic and beautiful landmark heritage building, neighbouring Parliament House.
